Nearly one hundred people attended the opening of the Northland College Student Diversity Center, located on the first floor of Mead Hall. Guest speaker Doctor Carla J. Bailey,  senior minister at Plymouth Congregational Church in Minneapolis, Minn. and an activist, talked about the importance of getting involved in social justice work and the importance of campus spaces like the Student Diversity Center.
