About Your Host
Dr. Geoffrey Vincent is an associate professor of biology at Northland College, specializing in disease transmission and parasite-host relationships. Originally a business major, he discovered his passion for biology–the study of life–through an introductory course, leading him to then study marine life and later focus on tapeworms in sharks and rays. His research now explores vector-borne pathogens like Rickettsia and Borrelia, and his work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Medical Entomology and PLoS Currents. As the host of Biology Connections, he brings his curiosity and expertise to the microphone, discussing biological issues with podcast guests.
