Online Textbook Ordering
Northland College has partnered with online bookstore provider, Akademos/Textbookx.com. Northland now offers a virtual bookstore and marketplace that delivers course material to students at a reasonable price and in a timely manner. When shopping on the marketplace, students save an average of 60% off list price, which is comparable to prices on Amazon! Free shipping is also applied to most retail orders over $49!
Akademos/Textbookx.com works with Northland to ensure students order correct, course-specific books. When students order from other vendors, they risk ordering the wrong edition of a textbook. All course materials are organized by instructor and course name. Northland students can search by course or instructor name to be sure they order exactly what they need for each course.
Payment options include all major credit cards plus school vouchers. Students who have a credit balance on their Northland account can request up to $500 of that credit to be applied to vouchers. Students must also allow three business days after submitting requests for the vouchers to be uploaded.
Akademos/Textbookx.com offers rental and buyback programs in addition to books at low costs. Look for more information on buyback toward the end of the semester!
