The Northland College Outpost - Outdoor Equipment Rental Center
The Northland College Outpost rents and sells outdoor gear to the Northland College Community and the greater Chequamegon Bay Community. From tents to trowels, canoes to Coleman stoves, and backpacks to bear ropes, we have outdoor gear options for every season and most group sizes. Bring in your old gear and we’ll sell it here on consignment. It’s an easy way make money off your battered boots and outdated skis.

The Northland College Outpost is located in the Lumberjack Lounge (Campus Map). For any questions or alternative hours please contact us at (715) 682-1265 or email outpost@northland.edu for help.

- Mondays: 1-5 p.m.
- Tuesdays: 8:30-10 a.m. & 2-5 p.m.
- Wednesdays: 8:30-10 a.m. & 1-5 p.m.
- Thursdays: 8:30-10 a.m. & 1-5 p.m.
- Fridays: 8-noon & 1-5 p.m.
- Evenings and weekends by appointment with 72 hour notice.

- 7:00-7:35 p.m. Dr. Patricia Shifferd, “Between Grace and Fear” (Dr. P. Shifferd is an Independent Consultant in Research and Evaluation. She was a Northland Professor of Sociology and Anthropology from 1968-1998.)
- 7:40-8:15 p.m. Dr. Kent Shifferd, “1900-2000; A Century of Peace” (Dr. K. Shifferd is the author of From War to Peace: A Guide to the Next 100 Years. He was a Northland Professor of History from 1968-1999 and Director of Peace Studies from 1985-1999.)
- 8:15 p.m. Q/A followed by book signing
