System Requirements
Although a computer with the minimum requirements will work on the network, it is our experience that more network resources will be available to you if you have a higher level PC. It is good to keep in mind how quickly technology is changing; therefore, we recommend that if you are going to purchase a new computer, you should purchase one that may be more than you will need at the time. This way your computer will last a longer period of time.
The minimum requirements that we support are computers with Windows XP-based operating system.
Recommended (PC):
- IBM – Compatible Personal Computer
Processor: Pentium IV or Equivalent
Operating System: Windows XP (SP3) or above
RAM: 2 GB or more recommended
Recommended (Macintosh):
- Operating System: OS X v. 10.5 or higher
Computers with less than the recommended requirements may not be compatible with our network. Keep in mind that as Northland College’s technology continues to change some applications used in the past will no longer be available.
