Local group Hoff Stevens featured guest on Northland radio’s Studio Sessions
March 1, 2012
Northland College radio station 97.7 WRNC-LP features local musicians Eric and Adam Doane of Hoff Stevens on the next installment of "Studio Sessions" on Friday, March 2, at 7:30 p.m. WRNC Music Director and Northland student Jeremiah Cornehl hosts the radio segment, interviewing local artists and bands about the music they create. Musicians also perform live in-studio or bring tracks from their latest work for broadcast.
Hoff Stevens is an Ashland music duo consisting of Adam and Eric Doane. The two brothers have been playing music in and out of different bands for the last 12 years. They perform songs from a range of musical genres, including doo-wop, pop, punk and folk.
"We are both very interested in the craft of songwriting, and I think Hoff Stevens is the perfect outlet for both of us to share our music," says Eric Doane. "We are currently in the process of recording a few songs on a small home studio system, and we hope to have an album in the near future."
Next week, "Studio Sessions" will feature local musicians Yazmin and Bruce Bowers.
WRNC welcomes local musicians who live in the Chequamegon Bay area to be interviewed on "Studio Sessions." Musicians are encouraged to share their thoughts about why music is important to them, as well as what inspires or influences them. Programs are recorded ahead of time and aired at a later date. Any local artists interested in being interviewed on the show may call (715) 682-1664 for more information or email md@wrnclp.org. Listeners may stream the show online at www.wrnclp.org.
