Arranging for Credit
To register, students need to fill out an Internship and Field Experience Registration Form, which is available on My Northland under Students, Registrar.
Calculating Credits: Credit is awarded based on the number of hours that are spent at the position. The breakdown for credit is:
- 1 credit = 45 hours per semester (approximately 3 hours/week)
- 2 credits = 90 hours per semester (approximately 6 hours/week)
- 3 credits = 135 hours per semester (approximately 9 hours/week)
- 4 credits = 180 hours per semester (approximately 12 hours/week)
Grading: Students will earn either a Satisfactory (S) or Unsatisfactory (U) grade based on completion of minimum number of hours and agreed upon requirements.
