Annual Giving
Annual contributions to Northland College and its Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute help to address the day-to-day needs of students, faculty, and staff. Your gift may be great, small, or somewhere in-between. Rest assured that every annual gift sustains Northland's community, enriching an environment of discovery, intellectual integrity, and excellence.
Northland College alumni, parents, students, and friends are all engaged in making a difference on the Northland campus through the power of annual giving. Their leadership as Northland donors helps the College carry out its mission of integrating the liberal arts with environmental study-a distinctive mission of which we can all be proud.
Annual gifts may be designated to support a specific Northland program or department. A gift allowing application "where the need is greatest" provides the College with the most flexibility in addressing annual needs. Each gift is recognized in Northland's annual Honor Roll of Donors. Our fiscal year runs from July 1 to June 30, though we welcome your support at any time of the year.
Your annual gift provides support for:
- Student scholarships and work-study opportunities
- Faculty salaries and opportunities for research, travel, and training
- Acquisitions of books and periodicals for the Dexter Library
- Community outreach through the Sigurd Olson Environmental Institute
- Student/faculty research projects and internship opportunities
- Laboratory and classroom equipment
- Special lectures, performances, and campus events
- Athletics and other extracurricular programs
