Northland College has established a goal of using 20% local foods on campus for the 2012-2013 school year, with the ultimate goal of 80% local food over time. Northland, in partnership with its food service provider Chartwells, has been working with the UW-Extension, Chequamegon Food Co-op, Bayfield Regional Food Producers Cooperative (BRFPC) and other local farms to meet the demand of hungry students with locally produced food. At Northland, a new station in the Baldwin Dining Commons, hosts a local protein, starch, and vegetable each day.

Events for Future Students
We host a variety of visit days, adventure weekends, and events in cities across the country to give future students the best opportunity to see what it means to think differently and live differently. Below are some upcoming events and descriptions.
Northland Exposure
Come meet with Admissions Representatives in your own backyard. Northland College hosts regional Exposure Events to give the opportunity for students, family, friends and teachers to learn more about the College. Each event offers a presentation on our unique environmental programs, and initiatives that we are involving our students in each an everyday to prepare them as future leaders in all facets of the environment, business, education and the arts. For students that have already begun putting your application together, you can bring your complete application, and supporting documents (see applying for admission for a complete list) and receive an on-the-spot admission decision.
