In this phase of your career development, you will be identifying your strengths and interests using the interactive, career assessment tool, FOCUS 2. With this application, you can research various career choices and outcomes associated with the academic majors/minors at Northland. From there, further exploration can occur by becoming involved on-campus and/or within the local community. Your involvement can take many forms; we encourage you to explore your possibilities, build on your interests and preferences (identified through completion of FOCUS 2) and also stretch yourself to try some new opportunities.

Remember, as you are exploring your career possibilities, also plan to target your Northland education toward helping you to gain experience. Whether it is through your initial service experience during Orientation to successive volunteer and internship experiences, you will be developing needed work-place skills and competencies. These are critical components necessary for your current and future fit in our emerging green economy.
